Foothill Acres Rehab and Nursing, a beautiful modern facility located on a 15-acre estate in scenic Hillsborough NJ is seeking a full-time Assistant Food Service Director. If you are energetic, detail oriented and take pride in the products that leave the kitchen, this may just be the opportunity you have been looking for.
As the Full-time Assistant Food Service Director, you will be responsible for the following:
Take charge of cooks and dietary staff
- Ensure standard recipes are being followed and food meets the high standards set by the Administration.
- Conduct audits of the walk-ins for dates, labels and 72 hr. rotation.
- Distribute menu preparation assignments and see that prep work is being done correctly; mentor and offer to help if necessary.
- Ensure demonstration of plating to line staff before each meal is done.
- Audit tray line for accuracy.
- Candidate should be familiar with local and federal food and safety guidelines.
Schedule:
- 8-hour shift
- Every other weekend
COVID-19 considerations:
Highly encouraged to be fully vaccinated but not required.
Experience:
- Food service management: 1 year (Preferred)
- Kosher: 1 year (Preferred)
- Long Term Care: 2 years (Preferred)
- Cooking: 3 years (Preferred)
License/Certification:
ServSafe (Preferred)
